Your world’s not falling apart, it’s falling into place

I was listening to a song by Casting Crowns this week, and this line caught my attention. Do you ever just feel like your world is falling apart? Do you ever feel like thing after thing keeps happening, pushing you down? Bad event after bad event, argument after argument….ever feel like you can’t take it anymore? You need to know that God is for you, he is not against you. Every bad moment is an opportunity for God to show his power and miraculous heart. Every bad situation is an opportunity for God to show you and everyone around you his infinite love. His heart breaks when you suffer, but he will not let you suffer beyond what you can handle. He will always provide a way out and he is with you EVERY STEP of the way. He will never leave you, never forsake you. If you ever feel like darkness has overcome, John 1:5 says, “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness had not overcome it.” God has the victory, and the darkness can no longer harm you. If God has the victory and God is for you, then YOU have victory!
The author of life, the one who gave you your life is also a king of furious love, and he turns EVERYTHING for your good! He isn’t the one who makes bad things happen, that’s the devil. But he IS the one who works out everything for your good. Every situation and every circumstance are opportunities for you to grow.
James 1:2-4 says,
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever our face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” And James 1:12 says,
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” He has good, good plans for you (see Jeremiah 29:11). Your world is not falling apart…it can’t fall apart because God is holding you! Your world is falling into place. Even if it doesn’t seem like it, believe it! When you look back on this experience, you will realise that God has been holding you the whole time, and he has shaped you into the incredible person that you are!
